Canada says it’s pursuing “credible allegations” that tie brokers of the Indian authorities to the deadly capturing of distinguished Sikh chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed lawmakers Monday.
Canada is residence to one in all the world’s largest Sikh diaspora communities and is the web site of Sikh activism that has displeased the Indian authorities. Activist teams embody the Khalistan motion, which seeks to carve out an unbiased Sikh homeland in India known as Khalistan. Nijjar vocally championed that trigger.
