A Humberside Police spokesperson mentioned: “Officers investigating a highway visitors collision on Park Street in Hull, close to to the junction with Spring Bank, have this morning (Thursday 4 January) closed the highway between Spring Bank and Park Street as part of a reconstruction.
“On Thursday 14 December it’s believed a Blue Honda FR-V and pedestrian collided at round 11.35am and a 74-year-previous girl was taken to hospital to obtain medical therapy for critical accidents to her leg and hip.
“Two days later, on Saturday 16 December, the lady died in hospital. Her household are being supported by specifically skilled officers.
“As part of our enquiries, officers from our Serious Collision Unit on Sunday 17 December closed the highway and right now (Thursday 4 January) have carried out similar to conduct a forensic examination, and additional set up the circumstances surrounding the collision.
“We continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from around the time it occurred, to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 161 of 14 December.”
