BBC Radio Merseyside’s Paul Salt ‘gutted’ as he steps down from breakfast show
BBC Radio Merseyside’s Paul Salt has introduced he is stepping down from the breakfast show.
The broadcaster has fronted the early morning show since he changed Tony Snell in 2020. Paul has taken to Twitter to concern a press release as he confirmed tomorrow will probably be his final breakfast show.
He stated: “I’m sorry to say tomorrow will be my last Breakfast show. As you know there’s going to be a few changes to BBC Merseyside. I’ve loved the last 2 and a half years and I’m really proud the audience has continued to grow on breakfast. I just wanted to say thanks for listening.”

Paul has been with the station since 2012 and is ready to host a brand new sports activities show named Total Sport Merseyside, which will probably be broadcast every night time from 6 – 8pm. He stated: “Hope you may tune in. Leanne and Jenny are additionally leaving breakfast I’d prefer to thank them for all they’ve carried out. They’ve been a pleasure to work with.
“We’re all a bit gutted but have to respect the decision. I hope we made a difference. Thank you Salty.”
