Passengers due to fly to London from Bermuda have been evacuated after somebody emailed in a bomb menace to the airport, it has been reported.
The flight was set to go away LF Wade International Airport for the British capital however passengers have been disembarked after the menace was reported at 8.50pm on Sunday evening.
Local roads have been closed to site visitors “while the airport building and its environs were searched by airport security” a spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service informed MailOnline.

“Police were notified by staff at the LF Wade International Airport of a bomb threat that was received via e-mail,” the spokesperson defined. “Staff also advised that emergency landing protocols had been initiated at the airport.”
“Once the all-clear was given and the airport was declared safe, regular traffic flow was restored.”
Passengers have been all reported to be protected however the flight was delayed in a single day on Sunday.
The flight is due to re-depart from Bermuda to London on Monday evening.
A spokesperson for British Airways informed the Independent: “The security of our prospects and colleagues is all the time our highest precedence and we adopted our customary procedures to disembark the plane.
“Our groups are caring for our prospects and supporting crew as we work to get them on their approach as quickly as doable.”
The Independent has approached the Bermuda Police Service for additional remark.
