“Historically, we have now all the time been an incredible good friend of Israel. Indeed, it was the Balfour Declaration in 1917 that set the blueprint for what we then noticed emerge after World War Two, the State of Israel.
“And we have now been steadfast supporters of that nation, as certainly have the Americans.
“But one thing vital has modified since October 7th and final night time, on the UN Security Council we had been one of many international locations that voted for a ceasefire. Now I’m happy to say the one good factor was that it did demand the unconditional launch of the hostages.
“But it is nonetheless shocking, on condition that it is said Israeli coverage that they are going to go after the Hamas terrorists, that we voted for that decision in some ways. But David Cameron, as Foreign Secretary, has steadily been shifting that place.
“Add to that an incident that passed off at Manchester airport yesterday night of two brothers, Neria and Daniel Sharabi, had been coming into the nation from Israel.
“I guess no one who comes into Dover will get spoken to love that.
“I sense that there is a rising prejudice towards Israel and the folks from Israel starting to run proper via our public companies.
“Now I’m all for Border Force doing their job; I’m all for sturdy borders. But if what has been [claimed] is true, that is fairly disgraceful stuff.
“Have we betrayed Israel? That’s the way it feels to me. I see a shift in our attitudes towards Israel and Israelis. And I see it from Lord Cameron proper the way in which down via Border Force and our public companies.”
