Sewage has flooded components of the Grade-II listed Golden Lane Estate twice previously few weeks.
The Golden Lane Estate Residents’ Association is looking for solutions from the City of London Corporation (CLC), provided that “raw sewage is a major health hazard”.
Several employees members at The Shakespeare pub fell unwell across the time the flooding first occurred, based on a councillor, though this has not been definitively linked to the sewage.
The CLC apologised to residents and stated contractors “had been on site to rectify the issue and clear the blockage”.
The difficulty was first raised with the CLC, the positioning’s freeholder, on 21 May.
