Nevin stated he first realized of the fireplace after receiving messages from acquaintances at round 8am this morning, January 23. He initially thought the messages had been referring to his Los Angeles gallery house, which was unaffected by the current devastating blazes.
“We were lucky,” Nevin advised Hyperallergic. “It’s been this very strange start to the year.”
