Sean Dyche has opened up on his choice to start out Ellis Simms for Everton’s journey to Manchester United.
“Well he’s a young player, he’s earning his spurs, somewhat. He’s delivered a cameo role – particularly the goal at Chelsea, which everyone was speaking about – but he’s working hard in training. It’ll do him great to play in a more familiar role as well, so we’ll see how that goes today,” he advised BT Sport.
“You’ve got to defend well against Man United, they’ve only lost once all season, but you’ve got to find a way and approach the game to try and be in the game – not just accept what they can bring, you’ve got to deliver something yourselves. Now risk and reward, of course, in football, we’ve got a feel for this, it’s something we can look at and see how we go.”
