A member of the family of a hero who saved the lives of two girls by charging at Hamas terrorists spoke out in an interview with Fox News Digital about his last moments.
Addir Mesika, 23, was born and raised in New York. He was with three childhood buddies, his girlfriend, and one other younger lady on the music competition which grew to become a bloodbath after Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel and butchered, tortured, raped and mutilated Israeli civilians.
“He was a real hero,” Morielle Lotan, Mesika’s aunt, mentioned. “I think he knew what his end was going to be, and he did it anyway.”
Mesika and his buddies have been resting within the tents on the finish of the occasion after they heard rocket sirens. Hamas despatched out missiles from the Gaza Strip as a canopy for his or her floor invasion. The group of buddies shortly packed, received into the automobile and drove to a small bomb shelter for security. While within the automobile, Lotan mentioned Mesika was texting his youthful brother about what was taking place. The boys have been killed by gunfire in a heroic act to save the ladies, who remained within the shelter for six hours till the Israel Defense Forces rescued them.
Mesika, Eli and one other good friend named Matan – who have been childhood buddies – have been buried side-by-side collectively in Israel.
“There’s some… vortex that we’re in at the moment,” Lotan mentioned. “We’re broken and devastated, and angry, and sad and worried.”
