The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has authorised the appointment of Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim as performing Managing Director, Abubakar Rimi Television.
The appointment adopted the suspension of the managing director, Mustapha Indabawa.
The letter of appointment dated 27th May 2024 was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi Government.
The letter directed Ibrahim to take over the affairs of the station instantly.
Before her current appointment, Ibrahim was the deputy managing director of the Television station.
The Kano State Government had filed seven costs of felony conspiracy, misappropriation, and diversion of funds amongst others in opposition to the suspended MD and Staff Officer, Ibrahim M. Bello.
Recall that the state anti-corruption fee investigated the matter following a petition written to the state governor in opposition to the embattled MD.
