Magaluf trip ‘ruined’ after friends stopped from boarding Ryanair flight

Tired from a fun-filled week of partying in Magaluf, Louise Mckernan and her friends felt able to go dwelling to Bolton.

The group packed up their belongings and headed for Palma de Mallorca Airport on Sunday, July 16.

“One of my friends booked all of our flights,” the Tesco employee instructed the Manchester Evening News. “She booked it on the app and mentioned she didn’t contact the app in any way. She didn’t get an e-mail, message or notification to say we had checked out.

“If we had checked out and our boarding passes have been invalid, how did we get by means of safety?

“We tried to talk to [Ryanair staff] for a bit however they instructed us we weren’t getting on and to return by means of the airport and go downstairs to talk to Ryanair buyer providers and kind a brand new flight.

“We think they overbooked the flight and because we were near the back of the queue, we landed unlucky with someone filling up our seats.”

Ryanair insists the celebration have been ‘accurately refused boarding’.

But the group’s scenario worsened once they received to the client help desk and have been instructed they would want to pay €100 for a missed flight payment, Louise claims.

A spokesman for Ryanair mentioned the passengers have been provided a missed departure payment of €100 which they declined.

The remaining friends, all 19, selected to remain in Magaluf for an additional two nights and take a €50 flight dwelling the next Tuesday.

“The customer service woman switched off her microphone behind the glass and threatened to call the police on us,” Louise added.

“She was laughing and I circled and mentioned ‘You’re simply being nasty, you’re simply being unhelpful’.

“Our parents had to send us the money to allow us to stay there for the extra two days.”

Ryanair deny a workers member laughed on the celebration, turned their microphone off and threatened to name the police.

Combining the brand new flight, resort and meals prices, Louise believes the group spent an additional £350 every.

She says the expertise however a dampener on her first vacation overseas along with her friends. “I was more upset about how poorly they treated us,” she added.

A spokesman for Ryanair mentioned: “These passengers have been accurately refused boarding from this Mallorca to Manchester flight (16 July) as they didn’t current legitimate boarding passes on the boarding gate.

These passengers un-checked themselves for this flight on-line on 15 July and didn’t verify themselves again in and generate new boarding passes for this flight the subsequent day.
