Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service advised the Echo: ‘[We] attended an incident on Queens Drive, Walton, on the morning of Thursday 26th October.
‘Crews have been alerted at 5.34am and one fireplace engine was on scene to help Merseyside Police at 5.40am. We left the scene at 06.49am.’
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust confirmed mercy crews attended, including: ‘We took a person to hospital with critical accidents.’
A McDonalds spokesperson advised MailOnline: ‘We can affirm that an incident occurred earlier this morning at our Queen’s Drive restaurant.
‘We are providing help to our restaurant staff, and can help the police in their enquiries.’
