The Poundland Wealdstone Store, within the High Street, was closed final week after employees reported ‘pest exercise’.
The Harrow Times obtained a report from a member of the general public that the store was shut down by the Food Standards Agency as they discovered rats infestation in store.
Poundland stated no exterior businesses, such because the Food Standards Agency, have been concerned within the resolution to shut the store.
A Poundland spokesperson added: “Our colleagues at Wealdstone themselves reported some proof of pest exercise this week.
“Because we take considerations like these very severely, we have briefly closed the store to examine the trigger and take rapid remedial motion.
“That’s underway and the store will reopen as soon as that work is complete.”
