Roleplaying musical Stray Gods pushed back a week to avoid Baldur’s Gate 3


After developer Larian shifted the discharge date of Baldur’s Gate 3 ahead a month to avoid clashing with Bethesda’s extremely anticipated Starfield, Dragon Age creator David Gaider’s roleplaying musical Stray Gods is now shifting back a week to avoid Baldur’s Gate 3.


Stray Gods (subtitled The Roleplaying Musical for the good thing about these with leaky style mind) was initially due to launch on third August, however Summerfall Studios – the place Gaider is co-founder and inventive director – has now revised its launch date to 10th August, explaining, “We want everyone to have ample space to check out Stray Gods when it launches. Baldur’s Gate 3 is hotly anticipated (by us, too!) and we want to give our fans room to celebrate Stray Gods.”


However, it appears Larian’s fantasy epic is not the one cause for Stray Gods’ brief delay; Summerfall calls releasing the sport throughout Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC concurrently a “huge undertaking for any team, let alone an indie shipping its first title” and says the additional week “allows us to have performance parity as close as possible – across every platform.”

Part narrative-driven journey, half interactive musical, Stray Gods tells the story of Grace, a younger girl whose life is upended after the Last Muse of historic Greek mythology dies in her arms. Soon, she’s thrust into a hidden world of gods and monsters the place she’ll want to remedy the thriller of the muse’s loss of life – and, sure, a lot of that occurs in track.


Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical options music by acclaimed composer Austin Wintory, and a star-studded solid together with the likes of Laura Bailey, Troy Baker, Felicia Day, and Rahul Kohli. It’ll be obtainable for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Switch come its revised launch date of 10th August.
