“Before we took off, the [flight attendant] was like, ‘I just want to ask, is there anyone on this flight going to the inauguration?’ and everybody began cheering.”

As the airplane hit the tarmac in D.C., Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.” began taking part in over the intercom and the cabin lights switched to crimson and blue.
