“Star Wars Outlaws” Worlds Explained

Julian Gerighty, the artistic director on Ubisoft‘s not too long ago introduced open-world sport “Star Wars Outlaws,” has provided some new particulars concerning the title.

Speaking with Edge (through GamesRadar), Gerighty spoke concerning the dimension of the in-game planets within the title and attracts comparisons to a different well-known Ubisoft franchise:

“It’s a crude analogy, but the size of one planet might be about [equivalent to] two of the zones in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It could be two to three zones. But it’s not, you know, this sort of epic ‘the whole of England recreated’ approach.”

He provides the planets within the sport will probably be “manageable in size for both the player and developer”. Gerighty additionally says that each one planets and places are being ‘handcrafted’ with no procedurally generated planets not like say “No Man’s Sky” or “Starfield”.

The story will reportedly be set between the occasions of “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” and follows outlaw protagonist character Kay Vest. Gerighty says:

“When you think of a scoundrel, your mind goes to Han Solo, it goes to Lando, it goes to Indiana Jones, to James Bond, to Captain Jack Sparrow. It was the fantasy I connected with the most in the original [Star Wars] trilogy – as a kid, I was a much, much bigger fan of Han Solo and Chewbacca than any of the others.”

One change from these guys they’ve made is to make the character “a little bit more relatable” by making him extra of a petty thief who “ends up in a situation that’s much bigger than they ever expected”.

“Star Wars Outlaws” is scheduled for launch in 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
