Tinubu orders DSS to vacate EFCC office

The President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has directed the Department of State Security Service to instantly vacate the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The order is coming hours after DSS officers stormed the EFCC office positioned on Awolowo Road within the early hours of Tuesday, stopping officers of the anti-graft company from accessing their office.

Although the service had earlier debunked the report as “not true,” spokesperson for the Service, Peter Afunanya confirmed to The PUNCH by way of a WhatsApp message that the DSS denied its operatives entry into their Lagos office.

Following the heightened rigidity between the 2 businesses, the president by way of his media officer, Tunde Rahman, issued a press release on the State House Presidential Villa on Tuesday night instructing the DSS to evacuate the premises instantly.
