KOLKATA: A political row erupted in Bengal on Sunday after Trinamool Congress complained to Election Commission about an “income tax search” of a helicopter present process pre-flight checks at Kolkata’s Behala Flying Club forward of MP and get together basic secretary Abhishek Banerjee‘s scheduled marketing campaign journey.

Therefore, there’s no doubt that the repeated illegalities perpetrated by various Central departments/agencies are being done at the behest of the BJP to throttle AITC’s election efforts,” Trinamool wrote in its letter to EC.
I-T sources, nevertheless, claimed these have been routine searches within the run-up to the polls.
TMC chief Kunal Ghosh stated, “The manner in which Banerjee’s chopper was searched by the I-T personnel is condemnable, and a sign of desperation. The I-T officials also got into a spat with the security, refused to let their actions be photographed, why?” The get together’s Rajya Sabha chief Derek O’Brien requested:
“Did the desperadoes find some fruits and fish sandwiches on board?”
BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar stated: “The I-T department surely had some information. I am not their spokesperson. They can say why this search.” State chief of opposition Suvendu Adhikari, stated: “Is he (Abhishek) above the regulation?
