A TUI flight was suddenly diverted and returned to Manchester Airport shortly after take off as a result of its crew had labored too many hours.
The BY166 flight from Manchester to Goa in India departed at 12.55am this morning (Saturday). It landed again on the airport shortly after 2.10am, simply over an hour later.
Flight monitoring information confirmed the aircraft setting off and heading west, in the direction of the Irish Sea, earlier than circling again and returning to Manchester.

A spokesperson for TUI stated the rationale for the flight being diverted was that its crew had “exceeded operational hours”.
The flight finally departed shortly earlier than 6pm this night.
