‘Wizard of Oz’ ruby slippers, Wicked Witch’s hat to hit auction in Los Angeles after going on display
The crimson glitter slippers worn in the long-lasting 1939 movie “The Wizard of Oz” might be on display at Heritage Auctions’ London saleroom on the finish of this month.
One of the 4 identified to survive, this distinctive pair was “famously stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, in 2005 and recovered by the FBI in 2018,” in accordance to Heritage Auctions.
A second pair will be seen on the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, DC.
