Ryanair passenger in flip-flops hauled off flight after he was ‘caught smoking in plane toilet’

Video footage exhibits the second a Ryanair passenger was hauled off a plane after he was reportedly caught smoking in the cabin bathrooms – as police say he has been banned from flying with the airline. 

The man, mentioned to be carrying a gray t-shirt, shorts, a baseball cap and flip flops, was greeted by police at Manchester Airport and escorted off the plane after the flight touched down from Palma. 

Another passenger claimed the incident occurred 20 minutes into the journey on Tuesday. 

The father, who was travelling along with his two younger daughters, mentioned folks on the flight had been left ‘on edge,’ together with his women who had been ‘fairly frightened. 

‘One of the flight attendants may scent smoke coming from the bathroom,’ he informed the Manchester Evening News.

A spokesperson for Ryanair mentioned: ‘The crew of this flight from Palma to Manchester (May 30) known as forward for police help after a passenger was discovered smoking onboard.

‘The passenger was faraway from the plane by native police upon touchdown at Manchester Airport.’

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed officers attended the incident. 

He informed the MailOnline the passenger was not arrested ‘as Ryanair didn’t wish to pursue a prosecution.’

They have nonetheless made the choice to ban the passenger from flying with them, he added.
